Upon hearing that neither Goo Goo Dolls concerts in Newfoundland has sold out, when they have everywhere else, it made me really frustrated. It shows why no modern bands come to Newfoundland, because they can't get the support. If one of the most successful alternative rock bands in the last 15 years cannot sell 1000 tickets, then why would other promoters think they can bring bands here and expect to sell out?
I don't know if its the venue and older people don't want to go to a stand up concert, or if its the damn "scene kids" around St. John's who are too afraid to go because they're not allowed to like something that could be considered popular music, but either way I'm getting afraid that it is going to end up cancelled, and that would be terrible.
